Recycling company EST Energetics GmbH celebrates roofing ceremony for new recycling building in Rothenburg/Oberlausitz

EST Energetics GmbH celebrates the next important milestone of the construction measures on the company premises. After a fire damaged parts of the recycling systems and the building in the summer of last year, operations were resumed on an interim basis in mid-May. Customers and business partners of the recycling company were very pleased about this. Now the roofing ceremony for the new feed building has been celebrated in Rothenburg/Oberlausitz.

Important part of the recycling process
The new construction of the feeding building has an important meaning for the recovery and recycling process. Here, the various materials to be recycled and processed are sorted and portioned onto a conveyor belt that transports the batteries, airbags, fireworks or ammunition to the two rotary kilns. There, further thermal recycling steps takes place.

The windows and doors have also already been installed in the new building. In the coming months, the interior finishing work will now be carried out as well as the installation of the conveyor belt, the other machinery and equipment, and the safety technology. For the time being, this is the last major step of the construction measures on EST's company premises to ensure full recommissioning.

Managing Director Stefan Blümel thanks employees and craftsmen
The roofing ceremony was attended by the entire workforce as well as the tradesmen and specialist planners involved in the construction. After Stefan Blümel, Managing Director of EST Energetics GmbH, had hammered the last nail into the roof beams, he thanked the entire team and everyone involved in the construction work in a short speech: "The roofing ceremony is a great event for EST Energetics, because today we see that the hard work of the last few months has paid off. With the interior work, the last big step of our conversion measures is now starting. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone involved for their efforts."

On the EST site in Rothenburg/Oberlausitz, there was a happy atmosphere among all those present, as the construction progress could not be overlooked. The occasion was used for a joint barbecue and lunch for the employees.
