Milestone for concrete plant from Lauchhammer: BFL celebrates delivery of the 5,000th prefabricated building

The B+F Beton- und Fertigteilgesellschaft mbH Lauchhammer (BFL) celebrated a significant milestone this winter: the delivery and installation of its 5,000th prefabricated concrete building. BFL was responsible for all stages of the work, from the preparation of the drawings to the structural calculations, the production of the individual panels, transport and final assembly.

5,000th prefabricated building assembled on construction site in Dresden

The panel elements were transported by truck from the factory premises of B+F Beton- und Fertigteilgesellschaft mbH Lauchhammer to the construction site in Dresden-Kaditz and assembled on-site. The individual concrete elements were interconnected by the BFL team on the construction site.

This building consists of four floor panels and four roof panels of the same size. The ten wall panels, however, have different sizes. The 54 m² building has four separate rooms that are connected to each other by media tunnels.

Following the connection of the floor, wall and roof panels, the necessary doors, gates, ventilation gratings, DASAG panels and aluminum attic covers were installed. Furthermore, the work on the facade was completed.

Prefabricated buildings in the highest quality for 30 years

"The delivery of our 5,000th prefabricated concrete building is a testimony to our many years of experience, our expertise and our dedication to providing our customers with high-quality construction solutions. We are very proud to reach this milestone. I would like to thank our dedicated team for their excellent work," said Hermann Stenzhorn, Managing Director of B+F Beton- und Fertigteilgesellschaft mbH Lauchhammer.

The company from southern Brandenburg is also celebrating a special anniversary this year: BFL has now been manufacturing and installing prefabricated buildings for 30 years. BFL operates one of the most advanced concrete mixing plants in Germany, which was commissioned on the factory premises in Lauchhammer in the spring of 2023.

Versatile application areas

The 5,000th prefabricated building is used as a gas pressure regulating station, converting the high pressure from the supply pipelines into low pressure.

BFL's prefabricated buildings are delivered throughout Germany and Europe. The precast concrete buildings are used in a wide range of applications, such as rail switch heating stations, switching and transformer stations, telecommunications stations, pumping stations, gas pressure regulating stations and railroad crossing houses.

B+F Beton- und Fertigteilgesellschaft mbH Lauchhammer manufactures versatile precast concrete elements for a wide range of applications - from railway construction, supply and disposal networks to environmental protection. The elements include canals and channels, prefabricated parts for vehicle scales, track work pits, containment systems in accordance with the WHG and object protection elements.
